"I was scared when I was told I needed cataract surgery. I had heard so many negative things in my community, and I didn’t know if I could go through with it. But thanks to a home visit from the Indo-Africa team, I gained the courage to have the surgery at Mengo Hospital. It went very well, and now I can see clearly again! I am so grateful to Indo-Africa and I want others to know that they too can take this step without fear."

"My daughter is Auma and for the first four years of my life, I couldn’t see the world around me. My parents tried traditional remedies, but there was no ophthalmology care in Oyam to help me. Thanks to Indo-Africa Charitable Society, I received cataract surgery at Mengo Hospital. Now I can see my mother’s face for the first time, and my parents are excited to take me to school. I feel so happy and hopeful for my future."

"My right knee had been causing me so much pain, and my family couldn’t afford the surgery I needed. Even after visiting nearby hospitals, I was referred to CORSU Hospital for urgent treatment. Indo-Africa Charitable Society stepped in, covering my surgery and care. Thanks to their support, I have my health back and a chance to live without constant pain. I am truly grateful for their help."

When I fell while fetching water, we realized I needed urgent help. With the guidance of a kind neighbor and Indo-Africa Charitable Society, I had surgery and regained my sight. I can now see clearly, and my family and I are filled with hope for a brighter future."

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, I lost my job and struggled to care for myself. I also suffered trauma to my right eye that needed urgent surgery, but I could not afford it. When I learned about a medical camp organized by Indo-Africa, I sought their help. They connected me with an orbital surgeon, and the surgery was successful. I am deeply grateful for their love and support, and I hope this help reaches others in need as well."
