2024 Uganda Medical Mission
(Jinja Uganda)
The August 2024 Uganda Medical Mission in Jinja represented one of Indo Africa Charitable Society’s most impactful healthcare outreach initiatives. Conducted over a 10-day period, this large-scale medical camp provided essential healthcare services to underserved and vulnerable populations who otherwise have little or no access to professional medical care.
Serving Jinja with Heart and Purpose
Over a concentrated 10-day outreach in Jinja, Indo Africa Charitable Society delivered 13,475 medical services, averaging nearly 1,350 patient interactions per day. Services ranged from general consultations and pediatric assessments to treatment of infectious diseases, chronic condition management, and medication distribution.
This scale of care significantly reduced the immediate disease burden within the surrounding communities and provided early detection for conditions that might otherwise have gone untreated.
In addition to clinical services, the mission served 21,400 meals, ensuring that patients and accompanying family members had access to nutrition during long wait times. With more than 2,100 meals distributed daily, the program addressed both health and food insecurity—two deeply interconnected challenges in underserved regions.
